Israfill’s story shows how DFBY Foundation’s healthcare programs truly make a difference. Both Israfill and his sister, Monjuara, have beta-thalassemia, a serious illness. When Monjuara’s health got worse, Israfill knew he had to act.

DFBY Foundation stepped in to help. We connected Israfill with specialists and worked with Care & Shine Foundation, USA, to raise money. This amazing teamwork made it possible for Monjuara to have a life-saving surgery at the Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital in Dhaka.

Israfill’s story doesn’t end there. He’s a very caring brother! He got a job and saved most of his money so he could take care of his family. He even opened a small grocery store near his home so he could be close to his loved ones.
